Lose weight or maintain weight does not proceed in the same way for everyone. It is obvious that it is much more complex and difficult for a person who likes very few foods, or who does not eat very little fruit or vegetables. It is also a good dose of motivation, but it's not as difficult as you think, at least in my opinion. By making the effort to understand what we consume, to make better choices and, ideally, to cook, so you can eat more for less calories!
As a teenager, I was not comfortable in my skin. I was not in major overweight, but I was around. Still, I was very athletic (12 hours of sport a week in my club). We ate healthily at home, but I did not make the right choices between meals.
At 19, I attacked the problem with a lot of training and a non starchy food and very strict. It worked: I lost 25 pounds in one summer. I never again the exception of my pregnancies. By cons, not eat any starchy or follow any strict diet that excludes food groups for the sake of weight loss seems to me very uninteresting and inappropriate today. At the time, I constantly had a feeling of deprivation. This is certainly not a way of life that I apply!
After the arrival of my second child and after a difficult pregnancy during which I could not be active, I took 40 pounds! I took the fight and I succeeded. That was 9 years ago. People who do not know me from childhood does not necessarily guess I lost a few dozen books since adolescence. They do not necessarily understand my passion for healthy eating. Each individual has his concerns, its past and its challenges. No need to judge us help each us and let us live!

1) Use the MyFitnessPal app
The MyFitnessPal app was very helpful when I wanted to lose weight after my pregnancy. Younger, at the dawn of my adult life, I lost over 25 pounds by changing my diet and taking me. 2) Plan meals
I do not like routine and I hate feeling caught in a mold. In short, the idea of the weekly menu, although it is excellent and very effective in some families is not applied at home. I work a lot with our inventory and my desires. However, I usually plan my meals, sometimes the day by making lunches for my tribe, sometimes in the morning to lunch and evening meals.
Meal planning includes planning snacks. This exercise can be more severe at first, then you are in weight loss mode. He then became rougher. This avoids eating anything because there is suddenly hungry! And in my case, when I know I'll eat again my delicious snack (very important it is) in 2 hours, it is very possible to wait. *)
3) Consult the nutritional values of foods at the grocery store and on restaurant websites
It is important to make a first effort of awareness when buying a product at the grocery store. For my part, I am concerned not only calories but also fat, sugar, sodium and vitamin intake (in general of course, without making it an obsession or exclude certain pleasures of life). I will even make fuss if I find that the product is overpacked, but here are my tocs environmentalists to me! Many restaurants post their nutritional information online. Do a search on their site or via Google. Some fastfoods the same offer in a mobile application. That said, I'm not doing this for my Saturday night out! You have to know when to stop and let go. By cons, if you are pressed for lunch or weeknight and you have to eat out, it's a winning approach.
4) Cooking home and advance
Cooking home is a big step forward. Not only that allows control the ingredients that we use, but it also assures us not to eat too much salt, saturated fats or preservatives of any kind. Without foresee everything, I like the idea of making revenue doubled in order to freeze a part. So you always have a home recipe (previously entered in the application ideally) at its disposal on the day that we lack time and we eat an elephant. *)
